Dr. Melissa D. Macco
Dr. Melissa D. Macco received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Science and a minor in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. She completed her Doctor of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
Dr. Macco has been working in the Reno, Nevada area since 2019. She excels at primary eyecare, complicated contact lens fits (including multifocals and high astigmatism), pediatrics, myopia management, and medical care (including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye exams). Before relocating to Reno she worked in a non-profit organization providing examinations to school aged children in low-income areas and at a private practice in the SF/Bay Area. In her free time, she enjoys volunteer work with the local Optometric Association, reading (she's always happy to have book recommendations from patients!), watching movies and shows, traveling, writing food reviews, and spending time with her husband, her mini Aussie (Ro), and her family.
Dr. Macco, fluent in Spanish, is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease and glaucoma certified in both California and Nevada.

Dr. Timothy Huntting
Dr. Timothy Huntting received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Human Biology from the University of Montana in 2014. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry with High Honors. He has been a provider in the Reno area since 2018.
Dr. Huntting excels with all types of specialty contacts and the treatment of ocular diseases. He prides himself in finding creative solutions for his patients. He has established working relationships with multiple distinguished specialty providers in the area such as neurology, neuro-opthalmology and retina specialists.
Dr. Huntting is a talented musician, playing multiple instruments, including electric guitar and saxophone! In his free time, he enjoys searching and acquiring vintage musical instruments, restoring electric guitars, going to music concerts with his wife, and skiing.

Dr.Jeanette Cross
Dr. Jeanette Cross is a Reno native who attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience. During her college career, she gained meaningful early experience working alongside local optometrists and retina specialists — a foundation that set the tone for her clinical career.Dr. Cross went on to earn her Master of Medical Sciences before completing her Doctorate of Optometry at Western University College of Optometry in Pomona, California.Her clinical rotations took her across the country, building a well-rounded skill set along the way. At Dorn VA Medical Center in South Carolina, she deepened her expertise in glaucoma evaluation and management. At Omni Eye Services in New Jersey, she gained hands-on experience in ocular disease and post-operative cataract care. In Santa Maria, California, she provided compassionate care to patients managing diabetic eye conditions. Her final rotation brought her to a private practice on Oahu, Hawaiʻi, where she delivered comprehensive medical eye care in a beautiful setting.Upon graduating, Dr. Cross was honored with recognition from the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society for her outstanding leadership and dedication to community service.When she's not in the exam room, Dr. Cross cherishes time with her husband and their dog, Churro. She's an enthusiastic ranker of local milk tea boba shops, and she stays active through hiking, dancing, and soaking up everything Lake Tahoe has to offer. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she is passionate about connecting with patients in their preferred language and empowering them with knowledge about their eye health.Dr. Cross is also an active member of the Nevada Latino Alumni Chapter at UNR. She is thrilled to be back in Northern Nevada and looks forward to bringing exceptional, personalized eye care to the community she calls home."
Lina - Technician and Contact Lens Liaison
Hello my name is Lina! I am so excited and honored to be a part of the Family First Eye Care team. After being born and raised in Reno and graduating from McQueen High School, I have found a true passion in assisting my beloved community with comprehensive eye care. I have been lucky to work under multiple eye providers in Northern Nevada including cataract, glaucoma, dry eye, and specialty contact lens specialists. I take pride in creating a warm environment for each and every patient to address all their vision needs, including contact lens fittings and special testing. In my free time I enjoy being cuddled up with my cat, a good audiobook, and visiting local restaurants. Hi, my name is Santos! I’m originally from a small town in California and have been living in Reno for the past few years. I come from a background in customer service and recently began my journey with Family First Eyecare, where I’m new to the healthcare field and truly enjoying the experience.
As I continue learning the ins and outs of the optometry industry, I’m excited to take on new challenges and expand both my professional and personal skills. I especially enjoy meeting and welcoming new people, and I strive to create a friendly and positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Outside of the office, I love spending time with friends and family, shopping, and going on new adventures. I’m grateful to be part of such a wonderful team and look forward to contributing to a great patient experience!
